Abigale Miller bio
Abigale Lee Mills (born on the 21st of September 1965) was an American dance instructor, choreographer, and reality television host. Abby Lee Dance Company is her idea, and it ran for eight seasons on Dance Moms. Miller pleaded guilty in June of 2016 to the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced for one and two-and-a-half years in federal prison. She was released on March 27, 2018. In April 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a kind of cancer that renders it difficult for people to walk. To get around she uses a wheelchair. Miller has been a dancer since childhood in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, an Pittsburgh suburb. She attended classes under the guidance of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller, then 14, was tasked with choreography and coaching for one of her mother's dance teams. Miller became the sole owner of the company and changed it's name to Reign Dance Productions in 1995. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and she was a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012 because Miller's reality TV show Dance Moms was a "complete false representation of the teachers we have and their students" and was harmful to the profession.
